Online shopping: good reflexes, added on 08/02/2011
Today we can buy almost everything online, but the question arises whether it is safe?
First golden rule: buy only on secure sites that encrypt your personal data systematically (name, address, bank details) at the time of transmission. It is the case for Paypal and it is obviously the case on Youtaa (see our legal policy and Terms of use in the footer).
To ensure the best conditions for purchase, here are 4 anti-fraud solutions to be explored for increased security:

- Insurance Fraud: For 15 euros per year, these online insurances (@ssur@nce intern@ute de Firstassur, Securiclic, WorldPay) guarantee the purchaser against online credit card fraud, but also against non-delivery, theft or breakage of goods ordered on most commercial sites.

- Labeled sites : Very serious and recognized labels for the protection exist in all countries. For example for the French sites, see if the FIA-Net label is displayed. If ever there was to be hacking your bank account, you can request a full refund of the amount diverted. This guarantee is in place and free of charge when purchasing a site marked by FIA-Net.

- The e-Credit Card: sold since 2002, this service allows the buyer previously registered with his bank to obtain for every online purchase a credit card number, unique and disposable card number to replace your plastic credit card number. The service is now offered by a half-dozen banks is often charged (count 6 euros for the installation of the service, then 0.5 euros per transaction).

- Navi Mag-Tip: While banks are often very discreet about it, they almost always offer an opportunity to repudiate the purchase in case of Internet fraud, although it remains a franchise to be honored by the consumer. Ask your bank for details.
