TEDx Antananarivo: "Time to Go Green" was held November 27, 2010.

TEDx Antananarivo was our opportunity to continue the discussion initiated at TEDGlobal 2007: "Africa the Next Chapter", in Tanzania. Smart solutions are now used to fight against climate change and some of the most difficult problems facing the environment. Companies are able to transform the lives of millions of people and introduce new communication technologies while creating the space for ideas and information to be disseminated to many.

TEDx Antananarivo 2010 focused on the environment, with an emphasis on "renewable energies", and included valuable input from environmentalists and social entrepreneurs in Madagascar. This was an intensely rich and emotional conference, full of discoveries, whose primary objective was to show the world that Madagascar, with the depth of its economic and political crisis, has realized that without sustainable development, there can be no future.

Some of our speakers are the innovators of development projects that represent the hope of a better life for thousands of Malagasy people and perhaps, in the near future, for other African nations.Audrey de Fondaumière really sparkled as she talked through her new website – a great social network for businesses – called Youtaa.com.
